Social Welfare

Social Welfare

Social welfare is a field of study very close to our community and life. How can we best allocate our limited societal resources for resolving diverse life tasks and supporting people’s livelihood? And how can we put these services together, offer appropriate individualized services in a comprehensive way? If there is no appropriate service, then how can we create them? This field of study concerns not just the basics of social welfare; by working together with medical sciences and human environmental studies, this field pursues the concept of total care in a community that supports people from birth to death. In addition, this field offers training in methods of assessment and social problem solving, practice of social work, and investigates effective social system or policies to reach these goals.
