After reading this document, I learned that a majority of the students believe the following:
My class is a good learning environment.
I prepare enough for class.
Students have enough chances to speak.
Their language abilities have improved.
The class is easy to understand.
I am a kind teacher.
Their motivation has increased.
The negative points, which were few, included the following:
A minority felt that the speed of class was too fast.
One student wrote that my explanations are too long.
My reaction is that the class was composed of students at different levels, so it is natural that some would feel that I go to fast. However, I have stressed many times
that I am happy to help students out of class. They know my office hours. Not one student from this class approached me for the extra help that I would have gladly given them. In the future, I think that I should assign more homework so as to make students spend more time studying.
