@There were no written comments to respond to. As for the student evaluations, I am for the most part satisfied. I knew before reading the evaluations that the class was too difficult for some people, slightly difficult for others, and easy for some. Even though this class was for the students with the lowest English levels, there was still a large gap between the ability levels of the students. I believe that we need to have two kiso classes in the future. One for students who have almost no English skills and one for those students who have more than the first group but who are still to weak to take English 1B classes. This is a very challenging class. If I were to do it again, I would use more visual aids and easy songs or chants. This was my first time to teach such basic English, and I have spent considerable time reflecting on my experiences. I believe that I can facilitate a better class in the future.
