【学生のみなさんへ】

I know that it is not easy to understand poetry, no matter what language it is written in! My goal for this class was to give students the "tools" to help them begin to appreciate poems written in English and to use the ideas of the poems as a basis for group discussion. The work-shop style class was OK, but perhaps there were too many students in the class to do this effectively. I enjoyed seeing students think about and discuss the different themes in the poems.
