English Education for Children

English Education for Children

My field of studies and research is in Second Language Studies, which is an interdisciplinary field that addresses the learning, teaching, analysis, and use of second (or multiple) languages. I specialize in critical pedagogy, citizenship education, Universal Design for English Language Learning, and Teaching English to Young Learners. Each subfield of my specializations are connected in a way that the fundamental theory of teaching and learning is to give all students an equal opportunity to succeed, to create a community of learners where no one is left behind, to provide opportunities to learn about the world through languages, and most importantly, to educate the youth who can create peace in the world.

In the Teaching English to Young Learners courses, college students learn to teach children based on Multiple Intelligences theory and by utilizing multisensory activities that enhance language learning.
